Paalasmaa, Finland's highest island, is a beautiful and rugged archipelago in the middle of the pristine waters of Lake Pielinen. The journey to Paalasmaa is breathtaking, with its many bridges. There is a year-round ferry connection to the archipelago. The terrain is suitable for hiking and cycling. Paalasmaa is located in Eastern Finland, 104 km from Joensuu and 139 km from Kuopio, both of which have airports and train connections. Mäntylä is located on the Second Island of Paalasmaa. The farm is idyllic and secluded, surrounded by beautiful birch and pine forests. The nearest house is an abandoned building 290 m away, and the nearest inhabited house is 300 m away, with no visual contact to these. A birch-lined path (200 m) leads to the lakeshore of Lake Pielinen. There is 50 m of private shoreline. The TV is an Android TV. There are two bedrooms, each with 2 beds that can be combined. The third bedroom has a desk and a sink. There is an electric sauna, a shower room, a dressing room, 2 separate toilets, and 2 porches. The utility room includes a washing machine and dryer, a water heater, and a sink.
